What an honour it was to be not only part of Amanda's and Mal's Bridal party but also their wedding planner, stylist and coordinator. The day was pure magic as I got to see my beloved cousin marry the best guy I know (apart from my husband of course) plus see their wedding day come together beautifully after a year long planning process between Amanda, Mal and I.
Over many a wine we had so much fun brainstorming ideas and creating the event concept. We decided to go for a vintage wedding style incorporating stunning wildflowers from the South West. I had so much fun sourcing items such as old glass jars and vintage suitcases to style the wedding. We incorporated beautiful lace into both the bride's dress and the custom made bridesmaid dresses that were simply divine! Not forgetting the lads who looked dapper in their on trend blue suits.
House of Cards Wine provided a sensational backdrop for the outdoor marquee wedding. The owners Liz and Travis Wray were so friendly, accommodating and easy to deal with for every aspect of the wedding. As my wedding gift to the bride and groom I secretly worked in collaboration with a friend to uniquely style the ceremony location under the beautiful big tree at House of Cards. With homegrown wildflowers, aisle hooks and an assortment of vintage jars the aisle was set. The stunning handmade arbor, covered in beautiful wildflowers, was pure perfection for the moment they became husband and wife.
Working in collaboration with Cape Flora Estate to style the reception area, including the marquee was a delight. Cape Flora have the most stunning selection of native flowers and proteas which were used for the bouquets, centrepieces and vintage jars that were scattered over the table.
Working alongside some of the South West's best wedding suppliers was a huge pleasure for me. We couldn’t have made the day anywhere near as special without their talents!
